Now make your way to the permanent gallery at Level 4, and find this impressive statue. The easiest way up to the gallery is the lift.Aravan is one of the deities worshipped in the popular thimithi (firewalking) festival that takes place at the Sri Mariamman Temple annually. Just along Campbell Lane from the Heritage Centre is one of Little India’s most beloved destinations: Jothi Store and Flower shop.Jothi Store and Flower Shop, now well established on this Little India thoroughfare, started out as a small flower stall in a five-foot way (the distinctive covered walkways you see around many buildings in Little India, and throughout Singapore).

Now cross Serangoon Road, Little India’s busiest street, to find the first mural of the tour. We recommend you cross over via the pedestrian crossing at the end of Campbell Lane, then turn right along Serangoon Road. Cross Buffalo Road and Kerbau Road, and enjoy the cool air from the jewellery stores as you make your way along the five-foot way. Turn left on Belilios Road and left again into the first lane, where you will see the mural. It's a 2-5 minute walk from Jothi, if you don't stop along the way to admire the wonderful jewellery creations, or grab a snack.Mayura, conceptualised by both Boon and Jaba, literally translates to “Peacock” in Sanskrit. This culturally significant animal is depicted to symbolise the cycle of time in Hindu scripts. The artists seek to showcase the beauty of the peacock as represented in Hindu epics.

Continue along the lane, and the next mural is just around the corner.Little India is densely packed with street art, as it is with famous food outlets, trendy new bars, and historic temples.

The next mural on the tour is all about the dance!To get to it, turn left on to Belilios Lane, pass the corner cafe - where they do a great masala tea - and turn left again on to Kerbau Road - which takes you back to Serangoon Road.Kathaka is just on the other side at the start of Dunlop Road. Take care crossing over!A graffiti writer and street artist, JABA’s style is a synthesis of cubism, futurism and constructivism – where planes, angles and colours are pushed to the fore. He draws influence from his travels and experience as a concept artist for Lucasfilm Ltd, and as a lecturer for Matte Painting, Environment &amp; Character Design at Nanyang Polytechnic.

The final mural on the tour is a short distance away from the bustle of Serangoon Road. Cross Serangoon Road again, and follow Kerbau Road along straight over its pedestrianised section to Race Course Road. There Cattleland is on your left - a 2-5 minute walk.This mural was completed via an interactive activity with passers-by in the district. She invited members of the public (from children to young adults) to participate in the painting process. The artwork, which contains images of buffaloes, clouds and flowers, was inspired by stories from the residents about the precinct’s history and how it used to be a street filled with buffaloes due to cattle trading.
